The short version
- No account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking tools.
- Your records and invoice photos are stored only on your device, encrypted.
- The app does not ask for internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere.
Who is responsible
Credenza is published by c’aK Apps, based in The Gambia. Contact: ckamilkapp@gmail.com or the contact form.
Data the app stores on your device
To work, Credenza keeps what you enter: devices, warranties, invoices, payment obligations, installments and notes (names, dates, amounts, serial numbers and any text you type), plus your settings. This is stored in an encrypted database in the app's private storage on your phone. It is never sent to the developer or to anyone else.
Invoice photos
When you attach an invoice photo, Credenza saves an encrypted copy in its private storage and deletes its temporary copy. The original stays in your phone's camera or photo library, where you manage it. Credenza has no standing access to your photos.
Encryption and lock
The database and invoice copies are encrypted with random keys held in your phone's secure storage (Android Keystore), not next to the data. If you turn on the optional lock, Credenza asks for your fingerprint, face or screen lock when it opens and when it returns from the background. If the phone's secure storage is wiped while the files remain, the data cannot be recovered.
Backups
Credenza turns off Android's Auto Backup, so your records and keys are not copied to your Google Account. You can export an encrypted backup file protected by a password you choose (and a recovery code the app shows once). It goes only where you save or send it. Restoring a backup replaces all data on that phone. We cannot recover a lost password.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, Credenza schedules reminders locally on your phone, seven and three days before a warranty ends or a payment is due, and restores them after the phone restarts. There is no push-notification server, and no data is sent anywhere to deliver them.
Permissions
On Android, Credenza asks to show notifications, to vibrate with reminders, to restore reminders after the phone restarts, and to use your fingerprint, face or screen lock for the optional lock. It does not ask for internet access. When you attach a photo, Android's own picker or camera is used. It does not ask for access to your contacts, location or microphone.
Children
Credenza is a general-purpose record-keeping tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because it collects no personal data, it collects nothing from children either.
Deleting your data
Delete individual records inside the app, or uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings to delete everything. The developer holds none of it, so there is nothing to request from us. Backup files you exported stay wherever you saved them until you delete them.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete on our side. If you have a question, write to the contact address above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If the app ever starts to collect data or ask for internet access, this page will be updated before that version is released.
